The baffle collar weighing about 19 tons was installed in the reactor cavity at the design location.

This is one of the milestones towards the power unit commissioning.

The work is scheduled to begin next month. For this purpose, a temporary power supply for all the systems involved (welding stations, cooling, ventilation) is being installed.

Six 10/0.4 kV substations have been installed at the Power Unit 2 reactor building of LNPP under construction. They will generate power for the entire welding process of the reactor coolant pipelines. To install temporary substations, foundation will be laid and metalwork will be mounted.

These substations were previously used to weld reactor coolant pipelines for the power unit 1 of LNPP under construction.

Note:

Titan-2 Holding is the largest in the North-West group of companies, constructing the most important nuclear industry and power facilities. The company performs a full range of construction and installation works from engineering to commissioning.

Titan-2 Holding is the general contractor for the construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 power units. The Holding Companies perform all the civil, installation, and electrical works at a construction site. The works are carried out in the reactor, turbine, power supply, water supply, heat cogeneration buildings and other power unit structures.

The project covers the town’s general education schools numbered two to nine, a private and night school. At school No. 1, the necessary lighting was installed during its recent renovation.

All the main heat exchange equipment was installed in the turbine hall. These are low and high pressure heaters, separators - steam reheaters, deaerator. The supporting systems - ventilation, heating and lighting - were installed too.

The group consists of about eighty people. These are experienced specialists who for many years worked in industry enterprises, designed and built power units of the Finnish Loviisa NPP and foreign NPPs.

Concreting was performed from elevation +33.000 to 35.900. A total of 520 cubic meters of concrete were placed. This concreting section is currently gaining the design strength under a special shelter.
