M.Sc. (Tech.) Timo Kallio has been appointed as Titan-2’s Head of Design Department in Helsinki, Finland. He joins Titan-2 from Gasum Ltd, where he worked as a Project Director during 2013-2016. Kallio has also worked as the Construction Director of Fennovoima in 2007-2013 and as Construction Manager for OL3 nuclear power plant project during 2003-2007. Thanks to his work history in the nuclear field, Kallio has strong experience of the Finnish nuclear power industry and cooperating with different actors and authorities. He is also familiar with the plant site region of Pyhäjoki.
– We are delighted with the news that Timo is back working with us on the Hanhikivi 1 project. He knows the project like the back of his hands, states Fennovoima’s Project Director Minna Forsström.
Kallio brings extensive know-how of project management and development to Titan-2. Among other things, Kallio will be in charge of coordinating the design work between Titan-2, the different design organizations and Fennovoima as well as developing the design department. He will also review and develop the subcontractor documentation process.

Kallio has a degree in Civil Engineering from Helsinki Technical University. He starts in his position at Titan-2 at the beginning of May.
