They are required for fine-tuning of the fuel (fuel assemblies) loading into the reactor.

The simulators in the transportation covers were delivered to the reactor building by trucks. They were further lifted to the +26.000 elevation using air lock trestle crane and moved into the reactor building by rail tracks.

Total of 163 fuel assemblies will be installed into the reactor pressure vessel. The polar crane will be used to load them into the spent fuel pool. Refueling machine will further lower the assemblies into the pressure vessel following the set coordinates. The process is controlled remotely.

All the equipment required for nuclear fuel loading was installed and prepared for operation by Titan-2 Holding companies employees - JSC MSU-90, PJSC SUS, JSC Concern Titan-2, JSC SEM.
