The contract involves the construction of 21 buildings, separate sauna building and parking lots for 800 cars. The total gross floor area of the project is about 17,000 m².
The project will be delivered as a turn-key project where Lehto Group is responsible for the planning and construction in stages according to a defined time and payment schedule agreed upon with the customer. Apartment modules will be prefabricated in Lehto's own factory in Oulainen.
Work will begin in Autumn 2016 and the first premises are estimated to be inhabited in April 2017. The project is estimated to be completed in the beginning of 2019.
The construction of the accomodation premises will create comfortable conditions for the workers employed at the construction of Hanhikivi 1 NPP.
