Its main purpose is to move equipment and materials at the stages of construction and operation of the power unit. The crane will be used to install components of the turbine generator, large pipeline assemblies and other equipment in the design position. The operation of the power unit depends on the installation accuracy.

The total weight of the crane is 385 tons, the length is 56.8 meters, the hoisting height is 43 meters.
T2IC and TSM Enerji specialists have an equally important task ahead: installation of the hoist trolley, adjustment of control and safety systems, static and dynamic tests. Only after that the crane will can start performing the main tasks.

Oleg Didenko, Deputy Head of Department for Containment and IC, TSM Enerji:
“During the installation of the bridge double-girder crane, a non-standard approach to the arrangement of work was used, which involved a full pre-assembly of the equipment on the ground, making it possible to significantly reduce the installation time and improve the safety of work. A similar process was previously used during construction of power unit 2, while the accumulated experience and analysis of the work performed made it possible to take into account the revealed drawbacks and optimize the sequence of installation. The installation was carried out in three stages using one of the world’s largest crawler cranes — Liebherr LR 13000: the bridge of the crane – 320 tons, the main hoist trolley – 68 tons and the auxiliary trolley – 10 tons, were successively installed. The applied technical solution made it possible to minimize mating operations in the design position, reduce the labor intensity of working at height and increase the overall efficiency of the load lifting equipment installation.”

Information note from TITAN-2 Holding

TITAN-2 Holding (part of ROSATOM State Corporation) is one of the key participants in large-scale nuclear industry projects in Russia and abroad.

The Holding companies perform a full cycle of work: design, construction organization, construction, electric installation, commissioning of facilities.

Today, TITAN-2 is the general contractor of the construction of new power units of the Leningrad, Kola and Smolensk NPPs, participates in implementation of the PDEC “Breakthrough” project in Seversk, as well as in the largest international nuclear projects – Akkuyu NPP in Türkiye, Paks II NPP in Hungary and El-Dabaa NPP in Egypt.

New power units of the Leningrad NPP and the Kursk NPP-2, the Core Shared Research Facility Siberian Circular Photon Source (SKIF) in Novosibirsk, as well as the facilities of Innopolis in Tatarstan are among the projects completed by the Holding. The competencies of TITAN-2 are also in demand in construction of large industrial, research, social and infrastructural facilities.
