The work was done by specialists of Branch of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 in Cairo and PJSC SUS in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During concreting, 426 m³ of concrete mixture were pored, which became the basis of the containment of the power unit passive protection system. Construction of the inner containment is one of the most important stages in constructing the reactor building and the entire nuclear safety system.

The inner containment is built stage-by-stage, tier-by-tier, followed by integration into a cast-in-situ structure. All work is carried out in strict compliance with the design documentation, construction schedule and quality and safety requirements.

After the completing this stage, TITAN-2 workers started further construction of the containment and continued work in the Power Unit 3 reactor building.

Andrey Mikhalovich, Chief Expert of Branch of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 in Cairo:
“The completion of this stage is the result of the entire team work. There are no minor tasks here: every cubic meter of concrete and every component of the structure is a contribution of specific people.”

Natalia Kudrevatykh, Head of Concrete Works Support Group, PJSC SUS in Egypt:
“We have passed this stage in close cooperation with the working crews. Inspection of concreting, process tips, adjustments – everything was done in the process to ensure the desired quality of the result.”
