The TITAN-2 Holding’s specialists in the Tomsk Region have completed the installation of the last peripheral cavity sheath of the innovative BREST-OD-300 fast neutron reactor.
JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 acts as the general contractor for the energy complex construction.
The fourth peripheral metal cavity sheath has been installed in its design position in the reactor. In December 2025 the company’s specialists installed the first three peripheral cavity sheaths one at a time. The total dead load surpasses 1000 tons.
As of today, the assembly of the BREST-OD-300 reactor vessel has been completed by approximately 70%.
At the next stage the peripheral cavities will be joined with the central cavity sheath installed in September. As a result, they will form a lead coolant circulation loop. This loop will house steam generators, main circulation pumps, coolant cleanup facilities and other in-vessel equipment. The central cavity sheath itself is designed to accommodate the core barrel and load fuel assemblies.
