On 25 December, a launching ceremony was held, attended by representatives of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2, JSC Siberian Chemical Plant, and the region's top officials. Alexey Likhachev, Head of Rosatom State Corporation, congratulated all attendees on this milestone event.

The nuclear fuel fabrication/refabrication module (abbreviated as MFR) is the first of three facilities of the Proryv project.

In total, PDEC Proryv will include three interconnected facilities that have no analogues in the world: a module for the production of dense nuclear fuel, a power unit with an innovative fast neutron reactor BREST-OD-300, and a module for irradiated fuel reprocessing.

Alexey Likhachev, General Director of Rosatom State Corporation:

"All year long, the builders, our process engineers have been working, pre-commissioning operations have been carried out, and we are finishing 2024 with the pilot operation of the entire fabrication/refabrication module. This is both an inspiring and a very binding event. I would like to sincerely thank the huge team of scientists, researchers, process engineers and builders of the TITAN-2 Holding. We are really creating something on earth that everyone else can only dream of.”

Ioann Averyanov, Head of Proryv separate subdivision of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2:

"It's hard to even find words for how important this event is for all of us. The construction started in 2014. And the TITAN-2 Holding has been here since June 2021. And in fact, since that moment, with representatives of SCP - our customer, and Rosatom State Corporation, we have been winning and learning together. And now this unique facility is already being commissioned. Each of us, each of my employees has spent not only working hours but also weekends here for the last year. So this is probably the first of the most important events for us, this is the first facility that we have been running here for three years. And it's almost like the birth of a child. So I think that this is a unique facility, which enters a new life with our direct participation. The facility has shown its efficiency and workability. Therefore, this is a great joy for us, like the New Year for the whole country".
