The expert examination recognized the compliance of the design documentation and results of engineering surveys at the site of the construction and assembly base (CAB) with the requirements of technical regulations and applicable laws and regulations. Obtaining a positive opinion opens the way for JSC CONCERN TITAN-2, the general contractor, to start building the supporting infrastructure, which will include administrative and production buildings, concrete mixing unit, storage facility, pre-assembly shop and other facilities. Erection of these facilities will ensure preparation for an important milestone, delivery of the first concrete into the foundation slab of the reactor building at the SNPP-2 power unit No.1.
At present the site for the construction and assembly base is completely cleared of trees and felling materials, its vertical leveling is performed. The site is ready for the start of construction works.
