Specialists of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 continue working at the Kursk NPP 2 construction site

Recently, employees of TITAN 2 started to install sandwich panels onto the turbine building of power unit 1. The work is being performed by a team of industrial climbers that consists of two squads. Each squad is composed of two climbers and two slingsmen, eight persons in total.

The height of the turbine building is 49.5 m. The average dimensions of panels are 1.5 × 5.5 m. The workers are to install the lining at about 13 thousand square metres of surfaces.

Besides, employees of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 reinforce and install the formwork of the upper foundation slab of the turbine unit, build foundations for equipment, apply fire protection coating onto the building frame, and route cable tunnels at the zero elevation.

At power unit 2, vibration isolators of the turbine have been installed at elevation of +12.440. Columns of the building metal frame are being installed presently.
