In total, more than 40 reservoirs have been equipped with these systems that feature upper limit level sensors. Also the perimeter of the ditch of the terminal battery has been equipped with hydrocarbon gas detectors.
Data from the detectors are supplied in real time mode to operator stations, and in case of accident the sound-and-light alarm warns operators and other workers at the oil terminal.
Designing, equipment supply, and pre-commissioning were performed be staff members of TITAN 2. The operations are run within the scope of a comprehensive program of oil terminal complex renovation.
