The inner containment is manufactured in pieces – deliverable assemblies. Directly at the construction site, they are assembled into a single tier on a special stand and installed in the design position. Previously, the deliverable assemblies of three tiers of the Akkuyu NPP first power unit had been dispatched.
The equipment left the port Bronka of Saint Petersburg for Turkey. It will be delivered by sea to the cargo terminal of the Akkuyu NPP construction site in Turkey. Transportation from the TPL plant to the port Bronka was performed at night using special-purpose motor transport. Customized transport cages were manufactured for transporting the inner containment elements.
