Along with the cooling tower of the first power unit, it is going to become the highest structure of the kind in Russia. The height of each tower is 179 meters.
JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 will commence the construction of this impressive structure in a year - at the beginning of 2021. Preparations for construction and installation works have already begun. Delivery of a formwork system to the site is in progress.
Currently, the employees of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 are constructing the turbine island facilities of the Kursk NPP-2 first and second power units. The main scope of work is related to concreting and reinforcing walls and floorings of the turbine building. Automotive and lifting equipment of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 is also used at the construction facility.
The company standalone sub-division in the city of Kurchatov, where the construction site is located, has a manpower of over six hundred people.
