Finnish partners saw the work progress at Power Unit 1 of the LNPP under construction and assembly of the Power Unit 2 steam generator.
The delegation included a representative of the Fennovoima company that is the owner of the "Hanhikivi 1" NPP in Finland, and of the nuclear safety authority in Finland, STUK.
JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 is the general contractor for the construction of the new LNPP power units and the main contractor for the "Hanhikivi-1" NPP construction. The units are based on the same design. It is not the first time Finnish colleagues visit Sosnovy Bor, in order to see the most important equipment assembly operations that they are to perform in the future.
They saw the Power Unit 1 main control room, visited the reactor compartment, where the dome is being painted after the cold and hot run.
At Power Unit 2 they could assess preparations for installation of the steam generator and pressurizer. In the process of lifting the equipment Finnish experts saw how the large-size equipment was installed using an open top technology, that is, through the roof of the building.
