The system connects the turbine to the evaporative cooling towers via pump station and intake channels.
The final stage of work on this site will be waterproofing of the cooling towers pools. This is necessary in order to protect concrete from external effects and to ensure the strength of building structures.
The volume of each pool is 24 thousand cubic meters, their depth being approximately two meters. In order to apply the waterproofing each pool has to be drained. The work will be carried out by specialists of the "Northern construction department".
Waterproofing application in one of the pools will be started soon. After cold and hot run the specialists will perform waterproofing of the second pool. The work is scheduled to be completed by mid-October.
