Specialists of the First Unit of JSC «MSU-90» are currently pre-assembling two reactor circulating pump sets (RCPSs) near the reactor building of the second power unit of the LNPP under construction.
Prior to assembling these pump sets underwent the procedure of overturning that was carried out with the use of two cranes. Next the employees of JSC "MSU-90" performed depreservation of the pump body and of the lower supporting stand. After depreservation the lower stand was attached to the brackets and bioshield ring and mounted on the pump body.
Pumping sets will be installed in the reactor building in the special boxes at level 14,000. The weight of each is 60 tons, whereas complete with the electric motor, more than a hundred tons.
Reactor circulation pump sets are intended for circulation of coolant in the reactor plant primary circuit.
