Works in the turbine building

After works on alignment of the shaft of the turbine unit have been finished in the turbine building of the first power unit of LAES-2 under construction, specialists of JSC "MSU-90" have started dismantling of the low-pressure cylinder.

In order for the cylinder to lean against foundation support frames in regular intervals, its case is suspended at first, then a cover is hung on it and then steam exhausts are welded to the condenser. During the following stage of works, diaphragms are placed in the bottom part of the low-pressure cylinder and the flowing part of the turbine unit is formed.
