Steel basket

The work is performed by skilled assemblers and welders of JSC "MSU-90".

The steel basket weighs 53 tons. It is 10 metres long and 6 metres high. It is intended for testing of cranes, and in the future, it will be used not only in the turbine building, but also in other facilities of the plant under construction.

After the basket itself is tested, it will be used to start the first operation to prepare of large-size equipment – the turbine stator for lifting. For this purpose, the basket will be loaded with a weight of more than 400 tons. Thus, it will model the loading on the crane equal to the load of the stator weight. These are preliminary actions before installation of the stator on the base.

The basket was manufactured at the production complex of JSC "MSU-90" according to the design of specialists of “TITAN-2” holding "ТИТАН-2" has been made. In the future, after the start-up of power units of LAES-2, it is planned to use the basket use at the new nuclear power plant.
