Lifting of the crane

This critical operation was performed by specialists of the sector of installation tower and overhead cranes of JSC “Division of motor transport”. “Liebherr LR 11350” crane with load capacity of 1350 tons was used to lift the crane structure weighing 150 tons to the level +40.715.

The overpass crane of the transport sluice will participate in transportation of fuel to the reactor. It will be also used to deliver to the containment area the equipment required for scheduled preventive maintenance, replacement of equipment of the reactor hall in the process of operation.

That is a closed type crane, its mechanisms are environment-proofed.

A task of JSC "UAT" is mechanical installation of the crane. Integrated assembly, installation of the rail under the crane for movement on the overpass and crane installation to its design place have been executed.

In the near future, the specialists will have to finish assembly of the mechanical part, to install a cabin, a hook block and a repair portal. After the installation of mechanical and electric parts is finished, the crane will be handed over for execution of start-up and adjustment works.
