The Bridge of Friendship

This year, preparation works for construction of Hanhikivi-1 nuclear power plant have started in Pyhajoki. "ТITAN-2" Holding acts as the main subcontractor for construction. The power plant will be built under a modern design. The holding performs construction of LAES-2 nuclear power plant under a similar project in Sosnovy Bor. Specialists of the company and their Finnish colleagues expect to have long-term cooperation. It is planned to finish construction of Hanhikivi-1 nuclear power plant by 2024.

In order to establish friendly relations between residents of "nuclear" towns, specialists of "ТITAN-2" Holding have developed a whole programme of activities. Within the framework of this programme, Sosnovy Bor was visited by mayors of the Finnish towns located in the area of construction of the nuclear power plant. There was also an open-door day held at the office of "ТITAN-2" Holding in Finland.

During the teleconference bridge, schoolchildren of Sosnovy Bor and Finland got acquainted with each other, learnt about differences in school education systems, and shared their stories about plans and hobbies. In future, it is planned to organize study trips for schoolchildren of Sosnovy Bor and Pyhajoki to each other.
