Stator at its regular place

The equipment weighing 440 tons was lifted from the level 0.000 to the level +16,000 by means of an overhead crane and was installed in the machine hall. This critical operation was performed by specialists of sector no. 6 of JSC "MSU-90".

Lifting of the stator was preceded by long and thorough preparation. The overhead crane, which was used to install the stator to its regular place, had gone through a long modernization process: further development of various parts, mechanisms software was performed. In order to test the crane, specialists of “TITAN-2” holding have developed and manufactured a steel basket simulating a load of the stator on the lifting mechanism.

After installation the generator stator to its regular place, they will start its further assembly and connection with the turbine. Then specialists will perform tests and start-up and adjustment works. Installation of the stator will also enable to continue works on alignment of the turbine shaft line, centering and setting of rotors.
