An important stage of the big project

At the end of December 2015 the state commission of Rostehnadzor held a final check on the facility. Based on the results, a conclusion was issued about conformity of the finished construction of the first stage of construction of the second and third starting complexes of the reactor complex "PIK" to the requirements of technical regulations, statutory acts and design documentation.

This document has marked the completion of large-scale activity of specialists of “Titan-2” Holding on construction of a unique nuclear physical complex of the world level. The total of 38 buildings and structures were constructed, with the total area of 65 thousand square metres.

The Director of St.-Petersburg Institute of nuclear physics, Denis Minkin, expressed his gratitude to the management and the whole collective of the company for “long-term persistent work and constant support with implementation of the unique project of “PIK” reactor. He also expressed hope for continuation of cooperation with “Titan-2” Holding during preparation for power start-up and driving of “PIK” reactor to the rated capacity.

Preparation of the facility for handover to the state commission is not only construction, electric assembly and start-up and adjustment works, but also execution of a considerable quantity of documents. Employees of “Titan-2” Holding held working acceptance inspections during which they carefully checked quality of structures and details, completed construction and installation works, all installed equipment and mechanisms. Start-up and adjustment works were also performed for all systems of technical, security and fire prevention and information support of buildings and structures, complex tests of systems were held for fire-prevention of buildings of the reactor complex “PIK”.

The final stage of works was handover of the completed facility of capital construction to the Customer.
