TWO MILESTONE EVENTS AT THE KURSK NPP-2 CONSTRUCTION SITE

Specialists of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 have completed installation of metal structures of the first power unit crucial facilities.

The turbine building frame with a total weight of over two thousand tons and the heat cogeneration plant frame are fully mounted. The total mass of the latter made up 250 tons.

The turbine frame installation took five months, the heat cogeneration plant frame installation was completed in 45 days. Metal structures were installed with the MANITOWOC 18000 crane, specially delivered to the construction site from Sosnovy Bor.

Currently, over six hundred people work in a stand-alone division of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 in Kurchatov. They are constructing turbine island facilities at the first and second power units of Kursk NPP-2.
