Alexey Likhachev, the General Director of Rosatom State Corporation, announced the project commencement via video conference. Vladimir Pereguda, Director of the Leningrad NPP, and Grigory Naginskiy, CEO of the JSC Concern Titan-2, handed the work shift cards to the students.

“Construction teams are coming to Sosnovy Bor, JSC Concern Titan-2, 10 years already. I have being working in the construction field for 39 years. I have stepped onto this path right after graduating from the Ural Polytechnic University in 1980. I have never regretted it. Because construction is a creative task. The builder came to the site and saw only soil, but as a result, we got an operating Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant of the latest generation. So I promise you will never regret choosing this job”, - Grigory Naginskiy told at the construction opening ceremony addressing the construction teams.

18 construction teams from 16 Russian regions (a total of 320 people) came to Sosnovy Bor. They will perform finishing, concreting, reinforcement works at the Leningrad NPP construction site, as well as be engaged at construction of regional volleyball centre and other JSC Concern Titan-2 facilities.

The company has been welcoming the construction teams since 2009. For the period of the construction shift, the students are hired, provided with the special clothes, tools, dormitories, meals and transfer to the work place. Sightseeing tours to Saint Petersburg and LNPP-2 unit under construction are arranged for them.

Moreover, JSC Concern Titan-2 hosts the construction teams at the international projects – “Akkuyu” NPP in Turkey and “Hanhikivi-1” NPP in Finland.
