By using the crane, the nuclear fuel and other cargo will be transferred to the Reactor building.
The JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 specialists at the lifting device assembling area has assembled and installed the crane. Crane assembling operations took several months and were performed at a special site, by the Reactor building. The lifting equipment was used for installation of the crane elements weighing up to several tons. The crane weight is over 140 tons.
The cargo was transferred to the airlock trestle using the most powerful crawler crane Liebherr LR 11350 at the construction site (the TITAN-2 Holding property). Several installers and slingers were involved in the operation. In the same way, there will be installed the crane repair portal at the trestle. Following that, they will begin connecting the crane to the power supply system. The employees from JSC SOSNOVOBORELEKTROMONTAZH will perform the works.
