The activity was performed by the JSC “MSU-90” first area and Mechanization and Motor Transport Department specialists.
Protective tube unit in a casing was put into vertical position and lowered into the spent fuel pool. The unit will be further depreserved and moved into the inspection shaft.
The clean area was prepared at the 26th elevation of the reactor building. To work into this area, the assembly personnel shall wear special protective clothes. The area is regularly cleaned. This is necessary to provide for the reactor assembly quality and safety.
As of now, all the core internals are delivered to the reactor building. The closest activity is installation of the protective tube unit into the inspection shaft.
