By this time, all main equipment has been assembled at the facility.

JSC MSU-2 erection staff have installed a turbine generator stator, moisture separator-reheaters, a dearator, turbine condensers, HP and LP heaters, heat exchangers at their proper locations. Turbine shaft alignment has been completed; over five thousand tons of pipelines are assembled.

Electrical installation works lie ahead of JSC SEM specialists who will route internal and external utilities and install insulation.

The remaining construction works at the facility include building cladding and finishing of internal rooms. They are done by JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 construction branch specialists.

“Construction, installation and finishing works at the new power units are carried out in parallel. The most advanced working techniques are applied on site. Besides, all the construction specialists have experience of fruitful interaction and successful accomplishment of similar activities at the power unit No. 1 with VVER-1200 reactor which is today at the final stage of commissioning. All this allows us not only follow the schedule, but even perform some operations ahead of it”, commented Aleksandr Chebotaryov, Deputy Director for Capital Construction and Head of Capital Construction Department for LNPP under construction.
