Learning about practical implementation of the NPP with VVER-1200 was the main goal of the visit.

This year 23 specialists from 15 countries – Hungary, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belorussia and others – attended the school. The delegation included heads of national nuclear programs. The international school opened at the Atomexpo forum in Sochi where the participants were welcomed by the Head of Rosatom Alexey Likhachev and the IAEA Director General Yukija Amano.

The guests visited the main control room and the turbine hall of the LNPP Power Unit 1, learnt about key installations and methods applied. Later the tour continued to the Power Unit 2 construction site.
