60 installers and 24 welders will take part in this activity. The personnel will have to mount 260 tons of pipelines and metal structures, weld 28 pipeline joints and connect the pipeline with the main equipment of the reactor plant.
According to the work execution design, welding of the main reactor coolant pipeline will be performed within 108 days. The reactor coolant pipeline welding process at the first power unit took 109 days. Based on this experience, it is planned to complete the welding procedures within 104 days.
The reactor coolant pipeline connects the equipment of the NPP primary circuit, such as reactor, steam generators and reactor coolant pumps. The coolant circulates therein with water temperature of 320 °C and under the pressure of up to 17.6 MPa. The length of the reactor coolant pipeline is approximately 160 meters.
