The second of the four hydraulic accumulators of the emergency core cooling system has been installed at elevation of +26.000.
Two cranes were used to perform the operation as the accumulator had to be brought into a vertical position and then installed at its proper location inside the reactor building of the second power unit of the LNPP under construction. The weight of the equipment assembled with a lifting device was approximately 90 tons.
Specialists of JSC MSU-90 were responsible for the assembling operation while personnel of PJSC Northern Building Directorate was in charge of the operation of hoisting mechanisms.
It is planned to mount all the ECCS hydraulic accumulators inside the reactor building within a week. Thus, it will allow to proceed to covering the reactor building with a dome.
