The weight of one plate is over 4500 kg.

There will be a total of eighteen plates like that on the dome part of the reactor inner containment. As many again will be further installed on top. Thus, the structure will weigh over 150 tons. After the security, lighting and ventilation systems have been installed on the dome, the weight of the inner containment dome part will be over 350 tons.

The dome of the reactor containment is assembled on a special slipway, which consists of concrete columns and a metal frame. JSC Northern Construction Department and JSC MSU-90 has installed it.

After the dome part of the containment has been assembled and supplied with the required equipment, it will be installed on the reactor building. This will make it possible to complete the concreting of the nuclear island facilities.
