The equipment weighing 440 tons was delivered to the construction site from St. Petersburg, from the Power Machines plant.
By means of a bridge crane, the stator was installed at the design location in the turbine hall at elevation +16,000. The operation was performed by JSC MSU-90 employees.
Now the specialists will have to further assemble the stator and connect it to the turbine. Installation of the stator will make it possible to continue the works of turbine shaft and rotors installation and alignment.
