This is required for a safe connection of a new power unit to the grid since the load on the grid will go up.
To prepare for the power startup phase of the power unit 1 of the Leningrad NPP under construction, when electricity generation begins, specialists must complete the works at LNPP-1. They consist of the reconstruction of busbar systems with the installation of current-limiting reactors and a 330 kV cable.
This will limit short circuit currents in the system during the operation of the new power unit generator. For this purpose, the first and second busbar systems are consistently dismantled, foundations and cable routes are constructed, current-limiting reactors are installed, a 330 kV cable and 330 kV clutches are assembled.
