Reactor Vessel for the Power Unit 2 of the Leningrad NPP under Construction Delivered to Sosnovy Bor from Izhora Plants

TITAN-2 Holding Company subsidiaries unloaded and transferred the large-sized equipment from the pier to the construction site.

The reactor vessel weighs more than 300 tons. Its length is over 11 meters and its diameter is about 5 m. The vessel was transported to the construction site at nighttime because traffic had to be blocked for special vehicles with heavy-weight cargo.

By the power unit 2 building, the reactor vessel was taken from the low bed truck by means of a powerful crane and moved to a special area where it will be located until it is installed to the design location - into the reactor cavity. The job was performed by JSC MSU-90 and PJSC SUS teams.
