Four of the six bearing carriers are mounted to the design location. They will serve to supply oil to the turbine rotor for its safe rotation.
Including foundation frame, each support weighs 8 to 13 tons. Installation is performed with a bridge crane.
At present, about 700 tons of parts of the turbine unit are delivered to the site. The entire turbine assembly will weigh about 3,000 tons. The steam engine consists of five cylinders: four low-pressure cylinders and one high-pressure cylinder. The turbine rotation speed is 3000 rpm.
After installation of bearing carriers, JSC "MSU-90" will prepare for the installation of low-pressure cylinders. Two cylinders have already been depreserved. Two more are now being depreserved and after the check measurements are completed will be ready for installation.
