The agreement is the result of cooperation on the Hanhikivi-1 NPP construction project.
Hanhikivi-1 NPP is constructed based on the Russian design of “NPP-2006” just like the new Power Units of the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant. JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 is the contractor for both these nuclear projects.
Besides the project work proper, the company has been assisting for two years the School No9 in Sosnovy Bor and the Pyhäjoki college arranging exchange programs for high school students. As part of that programs the teachers and the students have already visited each other two times, including the visits to the construction sites of the Leningrad NPP and Hanhikivi-1 NPP.
The Agreement of twinning between the towns will help develop their cooperation in the industrial, educational and other fields.
