The entire scope of equipment for the facility was installed by employees of the JSC "MSU-90”, which is a subsidiary of the holding "TITAN-2". The same JSC “MSU” was directly involved in the testing.
During this most important operation the reactor plant secondary circuit was filled with chemically demineralized water, which acts as a coolant. Steam generators, related piping and valves withstood the fluid pressure in the amount of 11.5 MPa. The reactor plant secondary circuit leak tightness and strength thus were confirmed. This proved that the equipment and pipelines of the secondary circuit were manufactured and assembled efficiently, their characteristics match the design.
Hydraulic tests of the secondary circuit concluded the stage of the “cold” run test of the reactor plant. Now, the specialists will perform "hot” run test, during which operation of the equipment and all reactor plant systems of Power Unit 1 will be tested under operation load.
