The operations were carried out in the Power Unit 2 building. Open top installation method was applied using crane Liebherr, whose maximum capacity is 1350 t.
Northern Construction Department employees installed the reactor cavity liner to its regular place. The structure was manufactured at the production site of the enterprise. It is 9.5 meters high, 6.5 meters in diameter, its net weight is 15.9 tons, the weight with assembly jig being 28 tons. The reactor cavity liner serves as a permanent formwork for concreting prior to installation of the reactor Pressure Vessel.
In their turn, JSC MSU-90 specialists installed the fourth reactor coolant pump body that has a weight over 50 tons. Thus, the four pieces of equipment are currently at their regular places at the level +14,000 of the Power Unit 2 reactor building. Reactor coolant pumps are intended for providing coolant circulation in the reactor plant primary circuit.
