JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 Finnish partners from FENNOVOIMA OY familiarize themselves with progress of construction of the new Power Units

Today, the both companies are involved in implementation of a joint project – "Hanhikivi 1” NPP construction in Northern Finland. JSC "CONCERN TITAN-2" is the main contractor, and Fennovoima Oy is the building owner.

The Finnish nuclear power plant is being built under the design identical to the Leningrad nuclear power plant design. Finnish specialists came to Sosnovy Bor in order to familiarize themselves with the construction milestones. The delegation was led by Minna Forsstrem, Fennovoima Oy project manager for the construction of "Hanhikivi 1” NPP. G. Naginsky, CEO of  JSC "CONCERN TITAN-2", briefed the work progress of the construction site.

The experts inspected the reactor coolant pipelines, evaluated the complexity of installation of reactor Plant pumps and motors.  They were shown the ongoing assembly and adjustment of the containment equipment.  They also visited main control room designed to monitor all processes of the power plant. Specialists from the LNPP and the commissioning organization are working together here today in order to prepare the equipment for operation and monitor its testing.

Fennovoima Oy is planning to send its representatives to attend Power Unit 2  large-sized equipment installation at the plant under construction.
