The equipment is a container with a capacity of 13 cubic meters, weighing 3100 kg.
It was installed on its final location with the use of the overhead crane.
The decontaminating baths are intended for decontamination of exterior surfaces and pump chambers of withdrawable portion of the reactor coolant pump sets, as well as of the portion components and assemblies during the scheduled repairs.
With the help of this equipment the contaminated surfaces are cleaned from radionuclides under effect of acidic solutions. In the process of interaction with the acid the contaminated metal surface layers are dissolved and removed.
