Tightness and strength of equipment and piping have been fully confirmed.

Testing procedure was monitored by the commissioning organization KalininAtomTechEnergo and the operators of the Turbine Building who will later run the system.

All of the tested equipment had been installed by JSC MSU-90 that is the daughter company of TITAN-2 Holding.

After the test, Anatoly Gnevashev, the head of the Turbine Building of the Leningrad NPP under construction, noted the high installation quality:  “There are no leaks, cracks, breaks in the welds or couplings or the parent metal, there are no deformations either.  Manometers showed no pressure drop.  This testifies high installation quality of all elements of steam separation and steam reheater.  This means that during operation the system will be reliable and safe.

In the nearest future, the steam separation and steam reheater system will be used in the cold and hot run of the reactor unit, which is one of the Milestones at the Leningrad NPP construction site this year.
