Experts of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2, the contracting organization of the LNPP under construction, completed the installation of main and auxiliary equipment of technological systems in the standby diesel-generator station building of the first power unit. At present post-installation cleanup and tests are under way.
The standby diesel-generator station building houses four diesel-generator sets. Each set has a length of 12 meters, width of 4 meters and height of 4.5 m. Weight of one piece of equipment is 140 tons. To date, all four emergency power system diesel-generators are in their regular places. The standby diesel-generator station building has been powered according to the standard operation diagram.
Currently, work is under way at the first and second bays of the standby diesel-generator station. For the first bay purging and testing of lubrication systems, complete flushing of the cooling system, purging with compressed air of the start air and fuel system were performed and tests were started as well as commissioning of the measuring channels. These works and the installation of the exhaust system and air intake system for both channels are scheduled for completion by the end of February.
After finishing commissioning works together with the experts of JSC "ATOMTECHENERGO" under the supervision of engineering supervisors from the manufacturer of the equipment "Wartsila Finland OY" and "Leroy Somer" a comprehensive test of two diesel generators (at the rated power and load) will be conducted. The tests shall confirm the equipment readiness for beginning of cold-hot trial phase of the power unit equipment, which is scheduled for March 2017.
