Specialists of the first unit of JSC "MSU-90" started idling of reactor coolant pump sets motors in Power Unit 1 reactor building of the Leningrad NPP under construction
All in all there are four motors. Each of them weighs 46 tons. They are installed in the reactor compartment at elevation +14,000. The motors are connected with the reactor coolant pump sets (RCPSs). The equipment is intended for creation of coolant circulation in the reactor plant primary circuit.
Specialists of JSC "MSU-90" fulfilled the entire task. Having assembled the motors, they moved them to the regular place and then added the supplying piping. Each piece of equipment inside the reactor building was moved with the use of an equipment lock trestle crane. Then a polar crane was used for reloading and lowering the equipment to the desired level.
