Two main circulation pump sets have been delivered to the construction site of the Leningrad NPP. Specialists of the First Unit of JSC “MSU-90” unloaded the equipment near the reactor building of the second Power Unit.
The equipment will be installed in the reactor building at level +14,000. There will be four such pumps altogether. They are intended for providing coolant circulation in the primary circuit and heat removal from the reactor core.
Each of the pumps weighs 60 tons. Complete with the electric motor the pump weighs over one hundred tons. According to the schedule the equipment shall be installed to its standard place next month.
