The tests of the concrete structures for the turbine cooling water supply system are going on at the Leningrad NPP construction site. The tests are conducted under supervision of the specialists of JSC “CONCERN TITAN-2”.
The intake channels connect the pump station with the water towers. Water from the water towers via intake channels is supplied to the pump station and further via service lines to the turbine.
Today specialists of JSC “CONCERN TITAN-2” test the concrete structures of channels in order to reveal the leaks which may arise after filling them with water. After eliminating the leaks the structures are transferred to the next stage to provide hydraulic isolation.
Up to now four channels were successfully tested, which connect the first water tower with the pumping station building. The second set of four channels is under test now. Then the channel hydraulic isolation and their backfilling will be executed.
