HANHIKIVI-1 NPP: site activities

Subcontractors of JSC Concern Titan-2 keep working at the construction site of the future nuclear power plant at Pyhäjoki  (Finland).

These are Finnish companies “Ab Tallqvist Infra Oy”, “Destia Ltd” and “Ruskon Betoni Oy”.

Destia Ltd removes top soil and excavates the pit for the main buildings and facilities to level -2,000 m.  About 20 people are involved in these works. Four excavators, ten mining trucks and two bulldozers are used.

Ruskon Betoni Oy prepares a foundation for a batching plant. Ab Tallqvist Infra Oy on builds water supply and sewage and sediment ponds at the construction base. A pipeline is built to connect to the batching plant.

Noise, vibration and dust level monitoring around the construction site commenced by Nablas Oy.

By today 550 people of Titan-2 subcontractors obtained ID cards to access the site. Approx. 100 people work at the site at present.
