The refueling machine has been mounted into the reactor building of the first Power Unit at the Leningrad NPP under construction.

It is intended to load nuclear fuel into the reactor and to replace spent fuel by fresh one.

The refueling machine consists of mechanical part (a bridge, a trolley and a service platform), a control system and a monitoring system. This equipment is used to control refueling process and monitor installation of nuclear fuel into the reactor.

Specialists of the first unit of JSC MSU-90 have mounted the most of the equipment: they have installed the trolley and the rotary device to operate a shaft, the transverse and longitudinal bridge. Rails for the refueling machine are being prepared for commence operating the refueling machine.

Then electricians will start working on this equipment. They will install cabling and connect the bus duct. And only after that, in the conditions of clean mounting, specialists of the first Unit will begin mounting an operating shaft and a television rod of the refueling machine.
