EL DABAA NPP
El Dabaa, Matrouh Province, Egypt
TITAN-2 Holding is one of the contractors building EL Dabaa NPP, Egypt's first nuclear power plant. The NPP is being built 300 km north-west of Cairo. It will consist of four power units with VVER-1200 reactors.
The main stage of the construction of Power Unit 1 began at the EL Dabaa NPP construction site in the summer of 2022. One of the first tasks for TITAN-2 Holding under the project was to build the construction base. The company also supplied several tower cranes to the site.
El Dabaa NPP is being built under the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in peaceful use of nuclear energy, signed between Russia and Egypt on 25 March 2008. According to contractual obligations, in addition to building the nuclear power plant, Russia will also supply Russian nuclear fuel for its entire lifecycle, assist the Egyptian partners in personnel training, and provide support in operation and maintenance of the plant in the first ten years of its active life.
CONCERN TITAN-2 is carrying out construction and installation work for facilities of the nuclear island and the turbine island of Power Units 5 and 6 of Paks II NPP, which is under construction in Hungary.
The project is being implemented under a Russia-Hungary intergovernmental agreement. The contract for the construction of Power Unit 5 and Power Unit 6 of Paks II with Russian VVER-1200 reactors was signed in December 2014.
The new power units will become part of Hungary's Paks Nuclear Power Plant, which was built with VVER-440 reactors using Soviet technology. Today, the plant accounts for 49.6% of power generation and for over a third of power consumption in Hungary.
Akkuyu NPP is a project of building Türkiye’s first nuclear power plant with four power units, with installed capacity of 4,800 MW, which is being implemented based on the Intergovernmental Agreement signed by the Russian Federation and the Republic of Türkiye in May 2010.
The Customer for the construction of the nuclear power plant is AKKUYU NUCLEAR, the General Contractor being JV TITAN2 IC İÇTAŞ İNŞAAT, a joint venture of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 and the Turkish construction company IC İçtaş İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş .
The NPP will be built with Russian VVER-1200 power units, which are of state-of-the-art generation III+ design with enhanced safety systems and meet all the applicable requirements.
Hanhikivi 1 NPP
