The electric motor was transported, assembled and installation by specialists of JSC MSU-90.
It is the first of four electric motors of the reactor coolant pump (RCP). Their purpose is to circulate the coolant in the primary coolant circuit and to dissipate heat from the reactor core. Each electric motor weighs 46 tons. It was mounted at the level mark of +14.500.
Three remaining electric motors are planned to be delivered, assembled and installed to their standard places in July. Then the electric motors shall be connected to all pipelines.
